AI Master's Degree Program

Are you a graduate student pursuing an MSRE, MRED, or an MBA with a concentration in real estate?

If you are pursuing one of these degrees, the Appraisal Institute Master’s Degree Program could be the perfect fit for you!

Students currently enrolled in a participating university (see below) are eligible to join the AI Master’s Degree Program and become Candidates for Designation with the Appraisal Institute free of charge.

A Designation Path Made Simple

Once you graduate, and depending on your completed coursework, you will receive equivalency for some or all courses and/or exams needed for designation.

Your master’s thesis or Ph.D. dissertation could possibly satisfy the General Demonstration of Knowledge requirement for MAI Designated membership! The thesis or dissertation must meet requirements outlined in the Official Guide to the Demonstration of Knowledge Requirement: General.

As a Candidate for Designation, you must also complete several more requirements to earn a designation, which may include the Comprehensive Exam and Experience requirements.

What if your program is not affiliated with AI?

Do you have an MBA, MSRE, or a Master's in Real Estate Development or Valuation? AI will gladly review graduate coursework from a program not affiliated with the AI MDP to determine whether any classes taken at the graduate level could count as equivalency credit towards education required for Designated membership.

If you think your university would benefit from this partnership, please contact mdp@appraisalinstitute.org AI is continually recruiting university graduate programs to become affiliated with the AI Master’s Degree Program.
